We all know the feeling when our pets look at us with those “hungry” eyes as you are indulging in a treat. The sad part is although we would love to share said treat with our pet, the ingredients aren’t always safe. Given that many of us are stuck at home spending an unusual amount of time with our pets, we found a sweet homemade dog treat recipe that is safe for you and your dog!
Nothing screams pet love like a fresh batch of homemade dog cookies! This recipe is quick and easy to make with ingredients you most likely already stocked up on at the beginning of quarantine.
Prep Time: 5 min Cook Time: 15 min Total Time: 20 min Servings: 16
Ingredient List:
- 2 very ripe bananas
- 1 ½ cup quick oats
- ⅓ cup of peanut butter
Instructions:
- Preheat oven to 350 degrees
- Mash bananas into a large bowl and add peanut butter and oats. Mix.
- Place spoonfuls of mixture onto a cookie sheet (covered in tinfoil) until there are 15-20 cookies.
- Bake 12-15 minutes
- Enjoy!

- Raisins
- Grapes
- Coffee (any caffeine)
- Xylitol (Candy, gum, toothpaste, diet foods, and most baked goods)
- Avocado

- Macadamia Nuts
- Peaches, Plums (the pits are dangerous)
This homemade dog treat recipe above includes no ingredients that are harmful to your dogs health. In addition, they are vegan, gluten-free, and dairy-free.
