Pongo Veterinary Professional Requirements
If you’re a Veterinarian interested in exploring telehealth, we’d like to meet you.
- Active Professional License (DVM or VMD) to practice Veterinary Medicine or an active Veterinary Technician License (RVT, CVT, or LVT) issued and valid in the USA
- Unrestricted ability to practice independently
- Active professional liability insurance
- No active malpractice claims or state license actions

Who is eligible to join pongo?
Veterinary Professionals with a valid US veterinary medicine or technician license (DVM, VMD or RVT, CVT, LVT) and in eligibility to practice (i.e. in good standing) are eligible to join Pongo.
what is the application process?
Its simple!
Download the Pongo App and create a Veterinary Professional account.
After your account is created, the Pongo Team will review your credentials and conduct an interview before you are able to meet with Pet Parents on the Pongo Platform.

WHAT is the compensation rate?
Pongo strives to provide pet parents with the best advice possible and to do that we look to bring on board the best veterinary professionals and aim to compensate them very fairly for their expertise (i.e. we care about expertise over profits – and provide very competitive pay).

is there a set schedule?
Only if you want! Pongo allows Veterinary Professionals to set their own hours. There is no need to tell Pongo about your schedule in advance.
Simply open the App and slide the “Receive Patients” button to tell us you’re available to see patients and leave the rest to us!
In case a pet parent has requested to speak with you or requested an appointment – you’ll get a notification on your phone.
what happens in the event of an emergency?
Your first duty will be to assess if you can help the pet parent using Telemedicine. In the event of an emergency, immediately tell the pet parent to visit a Vet or contact the appropriate resource below:
